Richard Hudson and Larry Kent (Brashear)

Postby RonHaft » Wed Dec 07, 2011 12:42 pm

I think most of you know my old friend Richard and probably many also know my new friend Larry. They appeared at a little fund raiser we had in Mineola TX last month. They are both great, but together....wow! Enjoy:

Currently after listening to him over at the Gretsch Pages, Richard Hudson is about my latest favorite guitarist.
Do I spy 2 6122-1959s. One on a stand, one in Richard's hands?

The one in the stand belongs to Glenn Burgin. I have a few videos of him and Richard and Larry playing at the end of the concert. I'll review them and see if the videos (not the performers) are worthy of posting.

Ron,
Thanks for posting the video's. I watched everyone, enjoyed them and wished I was there. The last one "Thinking of Chet" made me think of Chet. A beautiful song.
Thanks,
GaryL

Captainvideo, here´s one of Richard´s best recordings, according to my ears and heart. I don´t think you´ve heard it before.

Beautiful. I just located Richard's posting of this over the Gretsch Pages. Richard has a touch and feel that sets great guitarists apart from the really good ones. Wonderful tone combined with that touch makes for a pleasurable listening experience.

Thank you all very much. Larry Kent is a tremendous guitar player. It has been a very enjoyable reunion for us. The reunion continues, I hope.
