Average Weight 6122-1959
I'm just about to pull the trigger on a Gretsch 6122-1959 Country Gent. One I'm looking at is 8lbs. Its heftier than my Tele 7lbs and 6120 7.6lbs. Does 8 sound heavy or light for a 6122-1959?

Being what I would call a "dream guitar", I wouldn't care if it weighed 12 or 13 lbs!

Good point. I'll probably be sitting and playing it 95% of the time. But. It would be fun to take on the occasional gig.

I got on our digital bathroom scale with & without my '59 LTV 6120 reissue several times. It seems to weigh 7.5 pounds, give or take a half pound. I know it feels a lot lighter than BG's 6122.

Thanks Nils. I guess no matter which 6122-1959 I purchase its going to be heavier than my 6120-1959LTV
