Here's a sideshow of Chet playing his Peaver guitar, info and the resulting Gibson Chet Atkins CGP & Phasar guitars:

Works best if you click "Full Screen" in the bottom right hand corner. (That way you can see all the captions) You can also slow it down on the bottom left hand corner.

Re: Chet's Peaver guitar
That was neat chuck...thanks! The neck on the T-60 and the Stratocaster feel so different in your hand...night and day difference to me. I was going to say Reed's T-60 was set-up the same way, but after checking on it again....I dont think his T-60 had a Fender neck......it was just an ebony fretboard....it still had the Peavey peghead. Those T-60's are a very under-rated guitar.

Hi Dow,
Jerry Reed's T-60 was a standard T-60 as far as I can tell. It is curious that his had plugged holes behind the bridge like Chet's. Paul told me that they originally had a Leo Quann type bridge back there. Steve Wariner's was set up just like Chet's except for the neck was the standard Peavey neck. (Paul built Steve's too by changing the pickup configuration.) Yes those Peavey necks were really small feeling.
Thanks,
