I've been working on my Christmas song list preparing for the "Hard Candy Christmas" event Thanksgiving weekend as well as some Christmas parties the following weekend. When you don't play them for a year it takes some rehearsal to get back into the songs. I was hoping to add "Sleigh Ride" to my list, but it is proving rather difficult. I congratulate anyone who has been successful with the song, and I would enjoy hearing your version.
I found a video on YouTube by Jon Finn who works his way through the entire arrangement playing it thumb-style.

Re: Sleigh Ride
Very good. I refer you also to Roger Hardin's version.

Thanks Larry,
You are right, Roger has a good sounding arrangement all his own. Very enjoyable and nice touch on his acoustic guitar.
Thanks!

Excellent job on a difficult tune to play. I hope you can post more of your Christmas tunes... Best wishes from Bham Al...Harold Payne

Re: Sleigh Ride
One of those "standards" everyone knows but really, all they know is the head... the bridge is more obscure and the whole piece just has to be a bear to learn...

Re: Sleigh Ride
That is really nice; you certainly pinned that to the Christmas tree.
