Re: Gibson/Epiphone Chet Atkins Guitar Poll
I think the pickups were the ones used in a 335 but they have discontinued those.

Re: Gibson/Epiphone Chet Atkins Guitar Poll
According to Gibson literature the Tennessean used the same pickups as the Country Gentleman:
Pickups: 492R Alnico humbucker, 490T Alnico humbucker. The only difference was the plating.

Re: Gibson/Epiphone Chet Atkins Guitar Poll
Thanks guys.I knew the Tennessean specs.Just didn't want to get into a peeing contest.I love this guitar.I believe playin' gits makes em' sound better(just my opine)and this Tennessean was played to death. The body thickness is exactly the same as the 335 and the body could be shaped on a filled in 335 frame? This Tennessean has the blackest and hardest piece of ebony I have ever seen(no dye).Makes me wonder about Gibsons rain forest lawsuit.Oh,and "Thanks" to "Paul" for the design!(the smaller thinner body doesn't wreak havoc with arthritis as much as the large body gits.I know they do sound better though). God Bless, Ty M.

Re: Gibson/Epiphone Chet Atkins Guitar Poll
I'm bumping these polls back up to the top. I think it's interesting info.
