Len,
I enjoyed hearing Doyle do the Chet style playing on that tune. Several years ago my late pickin' buddy Hugh Dowdle visited with Doyle and his parents, Bubba and Martha, at their Clayton, GA home following one of Doyle's Taylor guitar seminars. Hugh told me he and Doyle sat up late in the night talking guitars and Doyle playing one Chet song after another. He said he was amazed how well he could duplicate Chet's songs which was a departure from Doyle's normal style. I had been invited to join them that evening, but could not make it. I regret missing that opportunity.
I had several jam sessions with Bubba Dykes and Hugh Dowdle. They have both passed on and I miss pickin' with them.

Hi Ronnie, glad you enjoyed that. Doyle is one of the best pickers, energetic and inspiring. Thanks for the anecdote.
I have several more recordings of Doyle from CAAS 2010 that I will post. Unfortunately since then Doyle has been at CAAS for the first day or two only, and was gone by the time I arrive on Thursday afternoon. Looks like that will happen again this year, I think he will be there only on Wednesday. Stay tuned! (bad pun intended

Hi Jack
I have been reading extracts from Rory Block's autobiography and it she makes mention of one Jack Baker. I was just wondering if that is yourself. Gerry
