This is really nice. Notice how loud Chet's Hascal is at the end....

That's great Phil haven't seen that one. The HH sounds great. There's another one in the corner- that's the one I thought he would reach for.

That was great, Phil. Thanks. It's always a thrill to see and hear Chet talk, as well as play. He always carried a pick in his left front pocket. He instilled that habit in me also.

Thanks, Phil. It's good to hear from our musical dad on Father's Day. John

"I hope country music will not go so "pop", and maybe it will stay the same. I hope the fans will always keep that in mind and buy pure country music because that's where it is."

I know the definitions of pop back then and today are very different but this statement that Chet said really speaks to me and sums up a lot of what I feel today and every time I turn on a country station. It saddens me to hear what they call "country" in todays world. It seems that I can only find good music on the AM stations! Anywho, I know this topic has been beaten to death so I'll leave it at that - but it was very nice to hear Chet say that... What a TONE from that Haile guitar!

Thanks Chuck, that's great. There's a video of Chet playing Lover Come Back To Me on a HeeHaw special, early 1980's I think. He's using that Haile with some sort of contact pickup and some delay. Great performance, almost ruined by the barnyard animal animation...
