I never actually took the time to really listen to the harmony part that Paul was doing with Chet. Boy, Paul was on top of Chet with those harmonies.....TIGHT!

Chet knew how to find the musicians that could accompany and allow him to really soar. And they don't get any better than Paul Yandell.

Did y'all catch the hammer-on tapping that Chet did?
I guess that was around the time that Eddie Van Halen was making a living off of a similar lick.

That is one of my all time favorites of Chet and Paul together. That little transitional thing they did in harmony just blows me away every time I hear it. Terry McMillan was a great showman as well as a great musician. Chet kinda got two for the price of one with Terry. The harmonica and the congo drums, as well as showmanship.

Chet always said that Paul could play anything he could - in harmony, and that pretty well proves it. Great performance.
