Chet & Million Dollar Band "Limehouse Blues"

Postby PhilHunt » Mon Feb 11, 2013 11:34 pm

While I was watching this I remember several emails back and forth between Paul and myself. I was asking Paul about this certain guitar in this video clip. I kept trying to describe it to him and he had no idea what guitar I was referring to. When he finally saw a clip with Chet playing it he told me he honestly could not ever remember seeing it at all. It must have been a demo guitar or some sort of prototype that he was experimenting with. As you can see, it kind of sounds like the Gibson Phaser/Peaver. If anyone knows anything about it perhaps they could shed some light on it.

Anyone notice the Gretsch Kidney buttons on the tuners?

I noticed those, too, Phil. This guitar is really a mystery. It doesn't look like any Gibson or Gretsch that I'm aware of. Kind of like the Gibson L-5S or L-6, but with a more rounded cutaway. I thought it was a Holmes, but apparently it isn't. I'm lost....Someone out there must know what this guitar is. :?:
