That's some great pickin'!! I was wondering what kind of guitar is he using, the red classic with the cutaway? He sure get's a nice tone. I didn't see any cables but it sure sounded like it was amplified. He reminds me of Chico Marx, Groucho's brother, who was a phenomenol pianist. Must be the hat! Brooks and Chico made it look so easy. Thanks for posting another great guitar player for all of us to enjoy. Steve

I'm glad you like it. Brooks deserves every support he can get in my humble opinion. Great player, nice guy. Please spread the word.

The nylon string guitar you mentioned is a La Patrie. That brand belongs to Godin. Good value for money. I'm not sure about the exact model, but it has a pickup on board. That wasn't plugged in though on this occasion. It's just microphones at work ... Those clips were recorded in Henno Althoff's studio. Henno once engineered Tommy Emmanuel's "Only" album.

What a gifted player , , , really great! Here is a prime example of what we, on the Chetboard always talk about. Brooks has GREAT HANDS! That's the prime reason he makes it look so effortless. You see people play who are really good, but it looks like a struggle, Brooks is seamless, smooth as silk. To play at his level, it takes a lot of mental agility but also a lot of physical ability and he obviously has both! He is about as good as it gets,,,that's my opinion.

may I share a secret with you? Every now and then I watch fingerstyle videos without audio. Just to enjoy the elegance of movement of the left hand. That applies to people like Chet, Tommy Emmanuel, also Brooks. You can definitely see the command they have over the instrument and their music. They're not struggling for sure.
