Nine Pound Hammer

Here's an oldie, Nine Pound Hammer:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5IsIkUJbR4

I am dedicating this to Roger Pratt, who has given me positive comments on Every video I have uploaded, since Day 1.

'Scuse the mistakes. Still using the same old strings I put on at the first of the year. I won't load new strings on it until I feel like I'm ready to play again. Kind of amazing that the strings are not totally dead.

Hey Bruce, that was pretty innovative! You threw a lot of "bits and pieces" of songs in there. Of course, it takes some skill just to make the
right choices of what should fit in where and how it should fit. I also appreciated your minimal right hand movement while picking. That isn't
as common as it should be.

If I may qoute the late great Jerry Reed ...... "SON!"

There's a wealth of licks to be stolen from that video and I plan to steal every one I can before long.

Great arrangement, great licks, and well played. Enjoyed it very much!

Bruce, you have a very pleasant way of making the old sound new again. I "borrowed" that decending lick you do at about 1:13 to segue into "I Am A Pilgrim" and it sounds so natural, that I am going to continue borrow it somewhat long term, if you know what I mean. I appreciate your posts sir. You seem to have an ever-ready well-spring of ideas that flow into your arrangements and you keep me eager to see what you invent next. Would that I were so creative - but not everyone has that gift.
