Gretsch Hall Of Fame Country Gentleman Owners

I thought I would take a poll to see how many people here on the Chetboard own one of the Hall of Fame Country Gentleman guitars since they are only making 75.

Just got back from Guitar Emporium in Louisville, Ky. And yes, I did grab the only one they had. It is a beautiful guitar Chet would be proud of, I am sure. I understand they only made 75. Wonder why, but not complaining.

Hello Chuck. Love your posts and video. I sat with Chet a few times ( 1980 and 1999 ). I Learned some licks I would have never figured out from him. Sure miss him, as does everyone. Met him through Hascal Haile, of Tomkinsville, KY.(his classic builder, but I am sure you know of Hascal.
The HOF is a great guitar. Players better get 'em now. They won't last long and I feel most will hang on to them. Wonder why they only made that small of amount!

Thanks Paul. Originally Broadway Sound in Knoxville special ordered a batch of these to commemorate the Special Chet Atkins exibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The special exibit ran from August 11, 2011 - July 15, 2012. Gretsch requires a order of 16 guitars to make a special model for music stores I'm told. So Broadway Sound, along with Paul Yandell, I believe came up with this special run of guitars to commemorate the exibit. The model became so popular that other dealers were contacting Gretsch about it. So Gretsch decided to make it a limited edition to be produced for the year long run of the CMHOF exibit. Gretsch normally make their limited edition guitars in batches of 75 for some reason. If anyone wants one of these guitars they should buy one soon. I'm sure there are not many left now and they will become very hard to obtain soon. I'm told that the standard G6122-1959 Country Gentleman is built exactly the same as the HOF model execept for the cosmetic differences. The HOF model should always be a special guitar because of the limited run.
