This is the ultimate case of the government bullying a small business....they drag it out and run the cost way up and then force the other guy to settle to something lesser that he probably did not do and then make the Company refuse to deny the original charge. I iwll bet Henry was paying about 250K per month in legal fees and costs with no end in sight.

This is how your federal government works the dirty SOBs...

Just another settlement to put in the annual report and promotion for the lawyers at the Dept of Interior. I do not think Henry's hands were totally clean but the invasion by the Government and disruption were totally unnecessary.

Glad it is over for the sake of the "Brand" and all of the employees I know out there.

Keep hoping someone will buy them and put some "class" in place up top.

Sorry, folks... I have no tears for Gibson.

They bought wood from a wrong source to save a buck. Got busted for it twice. I think they knew exactly what they were doing.

The other companies keep better paper trails apparently. Gibson should have known better, particularly after the first raid.

Gibson is not your father's Gibson, the one that was in Kalamazoo. It is now a corporation that primarily makes Les Paul variants and a small assortment of other models. Corporations are All About Money.

Gibson wasn't "singled out". Their documentation was not up to snuff. Twice. That's all it would have taken. Proper documentation that the purchase was strictly legal.
