Not that it will make any difference what I think but I think the original single cutaway Gretsch CG, walnut finish, aluminium Bigsby was unmatched for beauty and elegance.

It didn't go into production. That's what prototypes are for. Paul once said words to the effect that if someone has a "Chet owned" guitar it usually means he didn't care for it.

I'm with Norm.....I like clean, elegant guitars. That being said, that guitar might be a good investment, as it is definitely one of a kind. It might take a while to recoup your investment, but over the long haul, I only see something like that going up in value.....whether or not it is a great guitar.

I thought for a second that Steven Segal was a wax statue when I saw the pictures. Then I thought if it was a wax statue, he would have looked great beside those old statues of Merle and Chet that use to be down in the Nashville wax museum.
That's one suped up guitar. I prefer just a plain ol' Brown Gibson Gent.

I just do not see Chet and this guitar being a pair. It is waaaaay too "elaborate". The cool thing about Chet was, he didn't mind giving you his autograph. No doubt he signed it. Beyond that...(I'm stopping there...Segal loves that broken arm move...although I think he would shatter, if you you got a lick in on him)
