Audie is great and I would say he is one. He is a great player and a good friend!

One other person I would like to see play at CAAS again is Sonny Thomas.
I remember him playing at the 86 convention. He is awesome!

I have always said the best players never hit the stage. I was disappointed this year as there were no pics or clips posted on Chetboard. I had to cancel at the last minute to have surgery. In the past there were all kinds of things posted while we were there.

Bill, I agree with you. I checked this forum while I was at the convention and not only were there hardly any posts, but I also didn't really see any requests for them! Last year I couldn't be there and the board seemed pretty busy with people asking for them and also for a lot of clips showing up while it was still going on. Maybe those would have requested them were already there.

I would love to see Richard & Julie's "mini-concert" on Thursday afternoon in Kirk Sand's room. It wasn't scheduled on the written program and I just stumbled on on while walking around in that area. They have really perfected their showmanship and Richard played some pretty tricky things from a wide variety of categories. Also, I didn't realize how much a cello could deviate from what you usually hear them playing! Richard played a Beatle's medley that started off with Tommy E.'s version of "Day Tripper" and also played "Watkins Man" at about triple speed! If someone has this available to post, I'd really appreciate it. I saw several people there using their camcorders.

Phil and Eddie,

I'm proud you guys made the Saturday night stage! You did Paul proud playing "Lazy" as you did, very good. I hope Marie and Micah were present to hear it, if not then maybe the video. I only regret I was not there in person to witness it and share in the joy you guys were spreading; however, duty called and it's still not over. I played twice today at two different locations for the Franklin Folk Festival and I'm tuckered-out.

Thanks for posting Phil and Eddie!

Eddie and Phil,

Very nice, guys! So glad that the two of you, whom Paul loved, were able to give tribute to him at CAAS.

Best,
Bruce

You guys did a great job! It was nice to see ya'll up there on the main stage, and I enjoyed hanging out during the jam sessions, etc. Looking forward to next time.
