The one Jerry is holding is a Super Short scale like Chet's...you can tell by the upper bout. Also, Jerry's had a script Del Vecchio logo on the headstock. The soundholes are the same though. It must be really hard to find to find a super short scale one....I've always seen the Long scale kind. Finding a short scale is tough also.
Steve Ledford had a nice one for sale sometime ago that had the "V" on the soundholes.

Del Vecchios are fantastic guitars.
Any idea how to date mine (even roughly)?
Scale length 25.25"ish, 4" body depth.
The guy I got it from thought he might have found it in Brasil in the sixties, but was very vague.
Trying to post pictures here - if i get it wrong I'll try again a different way.

Congratulations on landing that Del Vecchio! You have been in the 'Hunt' for one of quality for many years, and your patience paid off. It looks good, specs good, and I know it sounds good especially in your hands. I hope you will record something and post it here for those of us who out here 'drooling with envy' !
