Gretsch country gentleman hall of fame owners problem

The best mis-spelling I ever saw, (Gretsch related) was a photograph of one of the earliest pre-FMIC prototypes, a duo jet I think, that had the word GERTSCH on the head. That would be a collectors item!
I agree that the quality of the current Gretschs is very good.

That´s a true story, only that it´s a 6120 model. The picture on page 84 in Jay Scott´s book on The Guitars of the Fred Gretsch Company shows it. The caption reads, "Asleep at the wheel: Brooklyn´s crack quality control team signs its work on the headstock of this early couble cutaway 6120". Will the present owner - if any - please chime in? That one must be a true one of a kind.

Not that its a big deal,,, but look at your name plate on the headstock
Country Gentlman or Country Gentleman... it should be spelled Country Gentleman
Maybe Fender corp went to the post office, because they dropped off a letter.
