Who could build an armrest for Gretsch guitar ?

I am considering having an arm rest put on my new 6122-1959 HOF guitar, similar to the one that is on the Gibson CG guitars. Who would I contact to build this to get an idea of the actual cost. Thanks in advance for any information. It seems to me Eddie P. mentioned once that Paul built him one for one of his guitars (maybe his Heritage).

I guess it would be too small of a project for most luthiers to consider, but I was hoping someone would be able to help me with this. The Idea always seemed like a good one to me, and as I mentioned my Gibson CG came from the factory with one installed, and most banjos also have such an armrest. That part of my forearm touches the upper bout of the guitar in that place and most of the time I remember to wipe my guitar down to get rid of any sweat or body oil that lingers on the guitar. I also think it "dresses up" the guitar. Anyway, I am still interested in finding someone who could build one. Thanks in advance.

There's a classical guitar builder named Kris Barnett who builds armrests for classicals. I had him build some for various guitars (an ES175, an ES335 and a Gretsch Country Club). He made them of the wood I requested, and to the measurements I supplied (I sent tracings of the side of the guitar where I wanted them mounted).

They attach with magnets. He recommends attaching the magnets inside the guitar with putty. That works, but will eventually turn loose. I ended up using an epoxy paste. The magnets were then permanent, but inside the guitar...small and inconspicuous.

There is a guy on Gretschpages who made a gold perspex one with Gretsch on in the same material as the pickguard for my NC. I never actually fitted it, in point of fact, and now can't find it (!) but it looked good! I decided against fastening it to the guitar top in the end.
