Re: D.P. "Mr. Blue Guitar Meastro"??
I really think that David Paul is one fine picker. I could care less about his ego or whatever people like or dislike about him. IMHO he can back up his big mouth with his fine guitar playing anytime at will. We all have our ways so I say live and let live people lighten up and don't take things so personal. He's just another great guitar and not a true COUNTRY GENTLEMAN in anyway. Joeb

I do not really know David, although, "to be part of the club," I've probably criticized his attitude before. I regret any careless remarks I may have made. I can't imagine the pain he feels from losing both his wife and child.

Re: D.P. "Mr. Blue Guitar Meastro"??
Chet Atkins from the times I have met him was one of the most humble people I have ever met.
He had a reason with what all he had done in his own career, as well as producing to have a King Kong ego
and yet he didn't.
So no one from the headliners at CAAS to D.P. to lowly me has any reason to have any ego.
David hurt his reputation. Now do I think he should be banished forever? No.
But he needs to rethink the strategy he had marketing himself.
I truly feel for him losing his family. I cannot imagine how that would be.
This is not about DP but about not caring about artists attitudes or egos.
We as ticket and music buyers need to hold the sports stars as well as music stars to some standards. Not caring
about behavior in celebs has caused the NBA to basically become the NTBA. National Thug Basketball Association.
The other sports fields are following suit.
It has caused music performers to insult our country, as well as the majority of Americans that love their country.
If all entertainers could be real like Chet was and not spoiled brats like Bruce Springsteen music would be better off.

dislexia is alive and well
it's getting so there are so many misspellings even in paid advertising you almost feel you have to just let spelling glitches ride.

Re: D.P. "Mr. Blue Guitar Meastro"??
Greetings Norm,
I think everybody spelled it right in concern to myself... the Meastro plus tax,, but the word "Maestro" also means "Master or Teacher". The only one who should be called "Maestro" is Chet ! He's been teaching us all for 50 years, and certainly will always be the Master. I think they also gave that title offically to the great conductor and composer "John Williams" who does all of those movie thymes from Jaws to the present.

Re: D.P. "Mr. Blue Guitar Meastro"??
I have had the pleasure of a several PM's with David. I find him (in print) a very nice guy and he's shared with me some of his history, his loss, and some music and vids that I found simply moving and inspired.
I'm SO glad I do not know the history of the 'confilct' that went on.... I don't want to know, and have not asked David about it. Clean slate time, I say ? He's OK in my book.
