Chet playing...your amp of choice ?

What are you Chet fingerstyle guys using for amp ? Please don't say a vintage Standel 25L15, you'll break my heart. Would love to play through one somewhere just to see what it's all about.

I like the Fender Deluxe reverb, Thats what I have been using since 1980. I've had the Music Mans, Peavey's, Ampegs, etc but I still prefer the Fender Deluxe Reverb. As far as Standel goes I don't have a clue, probably never will but thats OK, I think the Deluxe does a great job of reproducing the sound of the guitar. Al

Fender Deluxe and Fender Princeton reissues have a good tone, so does the Peavey Delta Blues with a JBL. Mostly now at home I've been using the Yamaha THR5....surpringly big tone in a lunch box sized package.

I use a Deluxe Reverb myself. It's a good, solid clean sound IMHO.

Almost snagged a mint Standel 25L15 but I was too slow on the trigger  That opportunity won't likely come around in a long while. OK though, I love the Exec just fine.

I can't think of a nicer amp than an Executive. If I ever outlive any rich relatives I'll get one. :)

Just thought I'd throw my two cents in here for what it's worth. Last fall I bought a TRAYNOR YCV20WR to go with my Nashville Classic. It's an all-tube amp with spring reverb and I'm very happy with the sound. -Tom W.

I use a Peavey Bandit around the studio.A Peavey Renown for live gigs.
Plug the CG direct for recording.
They work pretty good.
