Bigsby Swivel Bracket

Postby Tom Keller » Wed Mar 28, 2012 11:29 pm

HI guys, I recently acquired a 6122 - 59 reissue and it has the stationary bracket and unfortunately didn't come with the swivel bracket. I find that the stationary bracket is not my cup of tea. Where do I find a swivel bracket?

Thanks

I would think that someone on this board would definitely be willing to swap a swivel for the stationary bracket. I know I had 2 just sitting around the house for a few years. I then decided to sell them on ebay - they went for about 8 dollars a piece. I would have swapped! Good luck

I just reread your post - you should definitely be able to contact the company you got the guitar from and they should send you the bracket. I know when I got my 6122-1959, I had the exact opposite problem. I wanted the stationary - I contacted Joe Carducci at Gretsch and he sent me the bracket and a whole bunch of other things! It was a pretty amazing event. I checked my mail and it said I had 2 packages. I didn't remember ordering anything. Went to pick it up - it was a huge fender box. I didn't order any amps. Got it home, opened it up and Joe sent me 2 Gretsch bar stools, 2 BOXES of Chet Atkins Strings (10's and 11's), a set of Gretsch Beer glasses, T-shirt, Playing cards, Spaghetti tie and a few other knick knacks. The funny thing was - I never ordered any of this stuff - I just wanted the stationary bracket - I got all this stuff and NO bracket! HA. I DEFINITELY was NOT complaining. Well the bracket ended up coming a few weeks later. I was tickled to death with all these new Gretsch Goodies! If you bought it new from a company go through them, if not - try to contact Joe. Hopefully my experience will happen to you!

A loooong time ago I had one laying around that I sent to a chetboarder free of charge. It's been so long I can't even remember who it was.

I, too, am in need of a swivel bracket since my used NC only came with the stationary one. Since the NC has now reached 3 degrees of separation from Gretsch ( to Sam Ash to the original buyer to me), and and was originally purchased several years ago, I don't think either Mr. Carducci or Mr. Ash will send me one, much less all those other Gretsch goodies Alex Jones received. After taking care of Tom Keller, I would like to be next in line if any of you have one to swap or sell. Thanks.
