Your e-mail from 'Patti' Surman is actually from Stan Surman (a very well known Gretsch collector), and if Stan says he has them I'm sure he does! He probably just hasn't had time to respond to you.

I agree with David. I met Stan at a John Knowles workshop in Connecticut in 1988 and at that time I seem to remember that he told me he owned 42 Gretsches. Maybe it was just guitars in general? Anyway, I'm guessing that his collection has grown over the past 24 years. The bottom line......he could probably be considered to be an authority.

Skip, I believe you're learning the hard way that it's best to familiarize yourself here with the people you're talking to. Don't allow any of your expressed assumptions to be negative.

I respect Your desission not to deal with Me and sorry I rubbed You the wrong way. I'm normaly a fun loving person maybe getting old isn't setting well with Me LOL.

Skip, I know I'm not Stan, but I really appreciate your last couple of responses and I would certainly deal with you now if it were me. We all say things we later regret in some situations, once we see the entire picture. I agree that the "Cyberworld is full of spam and absolute junk". However, I wouldn't want to live without access to it. Thanks.
