10% back on his money so far . . .

Just curious . . .

FORGET about the instrument's background; would anyone here pay $10,000.00 for it in it's present condition if you were bankrolled to do so?

I understand that someone with the initials MR is seriously interested in this guitar.

Well, he could probably get it at 'dealer's cost' ,since Bain Capital "rescued" and owns 'Guitar Center', and then acquired ‘Musician‘s Friend’ shortly thereafter! ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar_Center

Yeah, it’s amazing what a little $57,000 per day income will do for you!

I think a more charitable thing for him to do, (before buying a little $250,000 guitar however), would be to help ‘NG’ pay of his wife’s $300,000 Tiffany’s jewelry bill first!

Like ‘Larry the cable guy’ says… “Only In America”! :)

Since the auction states that it is Mary Fords guitar, I wrote PS and asked that since the auction would be in the 6 figure range, if they could email me a copy of the certification that this belonged to Mary Ford or provide their experts name that certified the guitar as belonging to Mrs Ford, so that I could speak to him concerning the authenticity of their claims. They replied..."watch the episode" and gave me a link to the history channel.

Heritage, Christies, Gruhn...they all qualify and certify their special guitars...guitars that command a fraction of what this guitar is at right now. Like this one: http://www.gruhn.com/features/penguinfogel/eg2981.html

Great entertainment...
