FYI,
For those going to CAAS 2015, I called the Sheraton to see if the block of rooms for the convention were open. They are taking reservation. A room is either $129/night for regular room (2 double beds, or a king), or $149/night for the club level. I actually stayed in the club level, and it was worth the extra....hot breakfast buffet, and appetizers at night, shock/drinks available 24/7.
CAAS 2015 @ Music City Sheraton
Thanks,
George

Thanks for posting that information about the rooms George. I booked my room last week, but didn't know about the club level. It sounds like it's worth the extra $20... Their breakfast buffet is quite good and I usually have it anyway. Ron.

I booked my room yesterday and also got tickets for the Grand Ole Opry for Saturday. I am going to pass the Saturday night CAAS performance as I have been very disappointed with it the past few years. It is the same people playing the same songs that I have already seen during the week. I think the links to Chet are dying off as we all get older and it is harder to fine a relevant Saturday night special.

Re: CAAS 2015 @ Music City Sheraton
When I began going to CAAS I waited in line for 2 hours to get a good seat for the Sat. nite finale and when I finally got in there, about 1/3 of the up front seats were reserved and I was forced to take a seat level with the third set of doors. Granted these were not bad seats but certainly not great seats which I expected by waiting so long. I have passed on the Sat. nite deal ever since. I love CAAS and getting to see my old buddies again and I'll be there this year again. The price keeps getting higher and higher so I may have to reconsider the pure economics of it all. I sure hope not but my income is not going higher as the prices are.

Are you sure that price is right??? I could have sworn the prices at Sheraton were much much higher...in the $250-$350 a night range. Did they seriously lower their prices?

We got a king room at 128. I think when we started at the Sheraton it was 116 or so and that was back in the 1990's so the pricing is in order.

Phil,
Yes that price is right...at least for the block of rooms set aside for CAAS attendees. I got my room much later last year, and missed getting a good rate, and think it was over $200 a night last time.
