I recently finished reading a book entitled The Yellow Birds: A Novel, a very moving, personal account of the war in Iraq. It's hard to describe the impact the book has on the reader.
Anyway, reading it reminded me that I wrote a tune a couple of years ago and dedicated it to all who have been lost in the war on terror. I think I posted it here at that time, but figured I would repost it, because our debt to those many fine men and women can never be paid, and we can't overdo our praise and honoring of them.
The tune is called Solemn:

Very beautiful Bruce. And meaningful. Thanks from a 6-year veteran.

Re: Solemn
Bruce, that was excellent and moving - actually righteous would be a better word. Thanks for posting it.
