That's some great music, Craig. It really showcases your outstanding abilities in arranging and playing. I especially liked the Beatles number. Very good. Weeping Willow is also part of my repertoire. I enjoyed your 5string banjo treatment of it.

Good stuff!
Reached over and copied a good portion of 'Willow' on my Dobro.
One gets one's licks where one can find them...

Thanks Norm. I stole most of those licks from Earl Scruggs and Allen Shelton. The clawhammer verse was mine, but I lifted the ending from Buck Trent.

Really enjoyed both of those, Craig. "Help" took me back in time and I remember buying a nice thick book back in the 60's containing most of the Beatles tunes up to that point (lyrics, music and guitar chords). I'll have to see if I can find it and brush up on some of my favorites. -Tom W.

Craig, I remember one year in the mid 90's when you described your tuning for"That's My Boy" and it changed my entire approach to the song. I had been trying to play that primary chord as an E6. Using an "Open G" tuning and then not even playing it in the key of G opened my eyes to many possibilities and new approaches. Thanks!

Great stuff, Craig!
I may actually be doing a couple of your hymn arrangements as part of a prelude for an upcoming wedding.
Thanks,
Bill B.

@ Doug: I love "That's My Boy" too! (Am I allowed to say that?)
@ Rande: Yes, it opens up a lot of possibilities. At some point, I realized that the open chord in an open tuning doesn't have to be the 1 chord. (I'm slow about these things.)
@Bill: That's great. I'm told that "The Ballad of Fred Smith" works well for weddings. (That's a J-O-A-K, as Chet would say.)
