Well thanks. My pastor first turned me onto Chet stuff, he had a cool 1979-or 1980? Gretsch Tennessean. After church me and my friend swould just go and look at the guitar in awe. He was going to go to Nashville and play guitar with a band, but he got saved and was called to preach the Gospel. He showed me some chords and tried to get me to start fingerpicking he did not play with a thumbpick, and the only reason I did was because I kept dropping my pick inside my guitar.

Anyway I got the transcriptions of Chet's Back Home Hymns and would play them for church. But when I heard him play "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" with the alternating bass, I knew I wanted to play like that. So I've been working on it ever since. Been playing for about 7 1/2 years now. I so wish I couldve gotten to see Chet in person, Ive actually had dreams about being at a Chet concert, but unfortunately time has delt me a disadvantage. But I am going to see Tommy on Dec 3 in Burnsville, its about 3 hours from where I live, so that will be great, Hope I get to shake his hand or something.
