The first time I played my signature model Kirk Sand guitar. Kirk is sitting beside me, but out of frame. (He does that sometimes.)

Congratulations! Sounds great and it's a keeper! I know how nice it is following the blog and knowing Kirk's work first hand. You're very brave to play it for the first time in front of others - I wish I could do that. Kirk built a guitar for me several years ago. When it arrived, my wife and kids wanted to hear it immediately. After I let them observe how pretty it was and they stopped asking what's this wood and that wood, I asked them to leave the room so I could try it out alone. Kirk's a great guy, not shy and off to the side. I'm sure he's enjoying your special moment. Great teaming!

That guitar looks and sounds great, and it's in the hands of someone who can make it sing. I know that you are proud to own it, and that Kirk is proud to have you playing an instrument that he crafted. You play it the way it was meant to be played. So keep that music going!
