Legendary Sun Records artist Carl Perkins was a fine rockabilly guitar player, but he could play fingerstyle as well. Here´s a clip from a show in London 1985, where he shows how to playwith echo without all the electronic devices Les Paul used. He said they didn´t know how Les did it, so he had to invent his own method. This number is taken from the DVD "Rockebilly Session - Carl Perkins and Friends", with Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Dave Edmunds, Roseanne Cash and others. This show is well worth watching, and it´s impossible to sit still while listening and seeing it. It was aired in Europe, but I don´t know if an Amerian audience has seen it. It not, you really missed something.
