Phil & Eddie "Understand Your Man" CMHOF

Here's Eddie and myself picking a great old Chet tune "Understand Your Man". I even decided to use my new Del Vecchio on it.

Here's one with Eddie picking "Ready for the Times to Get Better". Thanks to our buddy Washtub Jerry for adding some nice Low Bottom ends. He's hard to hear so you'll new a subwoofer...he's an octave lower than a standard bass.

Here's "Last Train to Clarksville" from Stage II. We had to follow Tommy Emmanuel......which is a tough act to follow. I hate to say this, but they need to have Tommy on stage 1 not stage 2, it makes it bad for the next performer/performers. There just ain't enough room for folks to watch him on stage 2....the room was packed and was standing room only before we went on and then it emptied out.

Here's Eddie picking a classic Chet tune "Georgia Camp Meeting".

Those were good, Phil. I almost found myself orally inserting the missing harmonica part on "Understand Your Man"...lol

Thanks Alex, it was nice meeting you as well. There's one part in that tune that is tricky to do and that is wrapping your thumb over to get the bottom B note on the 7th fret. It would be easier on a smaller neck. My DV has a fat clubby neck as you could tell.

Phil & Eddie,
You sound great...both of you, on all selections! Phil your DV has 'that-sound' we all wish for, and you nailed Chet's arrangement. Eddie, "Georgia Camp Meeting" took me back to '94 CAAS when Paul's newly recorded rendition was being played in the demonstration booth room where I immediately got his video & instruction book to have him sign later. Phil, you've been holding out on us with your vocals i.e. "Last Train to Clarksville", you sounded good......son! I like the addition of your bass player. Where will the trio be playing next?

Phil and Eddie, you both are sounding great. I caught a little bit of your jam session with the wash tub guy out in the lobby Thurs evening and it was hard to leave. Phil was singing some old Jimmie Rodgers songs and I love Jimmie Rodgers. He was doing a good job too. I'm glad to see you both finally getting some recognition at the convention. You play what most of us want to hear. Best of luck to you both.
