Great job, both of you. I thought Paul would like to have you two up there, for sure.

Fine pickin' Eddie and Phil , , , , you guys "laid the thumb on it". Paul would be proud of you both! I was real happy to see that clip on the Chetboard this morning.

Hey Phil & Eddie!

You both did a great job and will probably be featured regularly at CAAS from now on!

Great job! I enjoyed it again on video!

What is the name of that tune? I assume it is one of Paul's, but it is one I don't have.

Well even if I never get to do that again it was a blast and an honor.

I am guessing Phil feels the same way.

I always have a blast at CAAS. That's what it's all about ....having fun with the musical legacy of Chet. It's always nice just sitting picking and chatting with folks. It was a nice bonus to play on the main stage. I think they need different folks from time to time to get up on the stage, there are some monster pickers at CAAS that deserve to be heard.

Hi Phil,

I appreciate your comment about the "monster players" that need to be heard. I haven't totally figured out the selection process but I believe that it's all about politics. If someone is a "somebody" and has gained a certain amount of notoriety through contests or backing up a "star", they stand a good chance. Just being good isn't good enough. Just look at Audie Wykle and his performance of Jerry's "Swarmin". When would we ever see a min-concert or seminar by Audie? I sat at played with Craig Wagner and he played "Superstition" and Stevie Wonder's "Chameleon" as a medley. These songs are sort of like playing "Yankee Doodle" and "Dixie" together, except they are much more complicated and difficult. I first met him about the same year I met both of you, back in the 90's. A lot of people don't even know who he is.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. Some of us just aren't into "fighting" to be noticed. You and Eddie now finally have the momentum going and will most likely remain on a roll.
