I think I'm getting the hang of this video trickery...

Your "video trickery" is impressive indeed, as is your playing. Wonderful sound and great bass line.

Thanks, Vidar...

"Bass line by Band in a Box"

I did some real voodoo on the audio too. The boys from Studio B would be proud of me...

I've never heard this played on a Dobro. That was a great choice. Sleepwalk is one of my favorite songs and this was an excellent version. I play this one with a (gasp :? ) flat pick, but I am trying to work out a solo version. What kind of voodoo did you do to get the sound you wanted?

I had to do some adding of a little sustain on some of the notes. It's tricky, but doable. Some judicious copy/splicing here and there and good cleanup. Add add a little echo after that and Voila!

When working with audacity it's wise to make a copy of your original source project and do your fooling around on the copy.

Recording programs are like playing guitar... the more you practice, the better you get.

It can get intensive and take hours but if you're stubborn enough you can usually get what you want. Richard Hudson ends up with a cleaner product because he is extremely familiar with his recording program (along with being a superb musician) and he strives for CD quality.
I do not.
I'm happy if the end result is reckognizable at all but I'm getting better at it.

My version of Crazy was another one that I learned a lot about extending notes and doing fixits.

All I want to do is make it interesting for three minutes... ;)

I put images with my Crazy... had a little fun with it...

Norm will be the new Bill Porter before we know it! Impressive work, but equally, or more important, done in very good taste.

Thanks, Vidar....

I've been really "Studio B-ing" lately. Nine postings!
