Here's a nice video with Chet leading the guitar player's parade at the Country Music Hall of Fame groundbreaking in 1999. Story told by Garrison Keillor.

Here we are 13 years later and I didn't even know there was a new building! I visited the CMHOF in 1971 when I first got out of the army. I'm looking forward to seeing it in a couple of weeks!

What great memories. When we came up with the idea of the 100 Guitar Marching Band, it was my job to ask Chet to lead the parade. We were at the Cracker Barrel for our Saturday breakfast and I told Chet we were going to do it. A few minutes later he asked, "What tunes are you going to play?" I knew I had him. From there it was, "What keys will you play in?" and "How will you rehearse?" David Conrad suggested we get a golf cart and let Chet sit in the back so the guitarists could follow him. Chet had a lot of fun that day.
