I found this posted on YouTube of what is supposed to be a 1972 studio outake of Chet's recording of "The Summer Knows" from the movie "Summer of '42". It sounds like some of Chet's licks of that period. Does anyone know the source of this and if it is Chet?

Another summer recording by Chet is featured on YouTube with an accompanying photo of him with his 1930's Roadster perhaps parked in front of his home. I was not familiar with "Summer Sunday" or if and when it was released.

Thanks for posting. As to 'Summer Sunday', I think it was recorded and issued on the RCA Camden 'Music From Nashville My Home Town' LP

That's one of my favorite pictures of Chet on that video. I believe that was the prototype 6120. Also check out Chet's nails. Boy he was a monster player right about this time period.
If I'm not mistaken I think this tune was one of the ones that was salvaged from the trash bin at RCA studios. There was a bunch of other tunes from the Yestergroovin'/ Picks on the Hits that are alternate takes that were saved as well.

Thanks for posting both those links. I guess I haven't heard all of Chet's recordings yet and I have a ton of his albums. It surely sounds like Chet to me doing the "count in."
