Doc Watson Tribute Show on UNC-TV

UNC-TV Network will present a special "Doc Watson Tribute Show" Friday night June 1, 2012 featuring interviews and Doc's performances that have aired on the PBS outlet over the years. David Holt, Doc's most recent performing partner, will host the shows that may be viewed across the state of North Carolina, and on cable in the Norfolk, VA and Greenville, SC markets.

Doc Watson's funeral will be Sunday June 3 in the Deep Gap, NC community where he grew up and lived. He will be buried in the Doc and Merle Watson Cemetery.

Thanks for the heads-up on this. I checked out the UNC listings and recorded a couple of shows with Doc on them. I am getting ready to watch them now.
