This is one reason that I like YouTube so much! We'd never see these any other way, at least not so many people having them available to them. Thanks!

Your welcome! Youtube is so great for this old stuff!! There's always new stuff from time to time. They should make a DVD from all this stuff. Why has there never been released an official DVD or video except from the S. Grossmann stuff??

The very first Chet Atkins recording I heard was Freight Train and when I found out that it was being played by one guy on one guitar I could hardly believe it. I knew at that moment that was the playing style I wanted to pursue which I did. It was one of those life-changing moments for me and I never looked back. Thanks for posting this. -Tom W.

I really enjoyed watching and listening to these songs. I know that the directors have to get all kinds of camera angles and views to keep the segment interesting and be a little artistic, but, sometimes it is a little frustrating when they cut away from Chet's hands just when Chet is doing some neat run or chord.

I shouldn't complain after seeing something wonderful that I'd never seen before, but I just thought I mention it. Thanks for posting it.

Super. Is that a double cut Country Gent or a Nashville?
Thanks for posting.

Boy...Chet was on fire! Listen to those ending licks of Freight Train....the man never missed a note.
I also love the sound of that Classical....anyone know what kind that was?
It had an awful small body but a big sound.

I definitely agree with Phil on this one - man that classical sounded fantastic. I would also be interested to know if that was one of Hascal's guitars or something else? Sure did love the video! Thanks for posting!

Yes, I also prefer the sound of his classical guitars that he used before he got the Studio Classic. They never sounded so great.

Gary... that's just a 6120 made that particular year. Not sure when they called them 'Nashville"

Because the royalties have to be paid to the ASCAP/BMI before the DVD's are made. The DVD's need to be made in bunches and all this means somebody has to put up the money and hope they sell enough to make a little profit.
This is Not an "all they gotta do is..." project. So far, Grossman is the only one to take the risk.
