David, thanks for posting this. I haven't copied all of my LPs to the hard drive yet and I haven't heard this one in a long time. It was good to hear it again. I sure miss Doug posting. I hope he's okay.

I have no idea who played Dobro for him on that. Offhand I'd say it was a pedal player doubling but I don't have the ear to say who it was. I'm not familiar with a lot of guys who play that but it almost sounds like he has Bigsby palm pedals on it
Wikipedia lists the personell on that abum and say it is Weldon Myrick on pedal steel. There is a contraption called a "PedalBro" being a resonator neck with pedals. Sounds like it could be one of those he's using.
I'd not heard that song before... Lordy, Chet had such a wonderful way of arranging... "keeping things interesting" as he called it sometimes.
