Here is a video of Danny playing in a alternating bass style. Danny was one of my heroes during my late teens. I don't listen to him much now, but he still makes me smile when I hear him.

George, it would make me smile to hear him today also. He died in 1994, my first year to live in Maryland. I embarrassingly found out from his mother when I called about his videos that she was handling for him.

I got to see him play live twice, and met him once. He was a nice guy, and a stunning tele picker.

I have a live recording of him playing with the Redneck Jazz Explosion in the late 70's with Buddy Emmons. Lenny Breau sits in with them at the Cellar Door. Quality is a little rough, but it is a nice historical document.
