Well Here it is at last folks!! Chet in all his Glory on the 1950'S Dave Garroway Show playing the solid top 6120 through the echosonic and the microphone around his neck.
If it was Eddie's birthday today I would say Happy Birthday cause I know he's been wanting to see this for a long time. I'm sure the rest of you have as well.

That was FANTASTIC!!! Loved it - I too also figured it was lost in a closet somewhere and we would never be able to see it. I wonder who coordinated with NBC to post it??? I am sure it wasn't on their priority list...

I was thinking the same thing also Eddie, that might be the only way to get it. The way I usually snag stuff off youtube is open it on my itouch and use a ipod av cable and run it into the stand alone dvd recorder and record it in real time.

Wow... I just got to thinking that when this was recorded, I was just 6 years old and had no idea who Chet Atkins was, what he did or that I would someday learn to play the guitar and pursue his playing style. Now I'm 60 and what a treat this is! Thanks, Tom W.

Hey all, make sure to type in "Chet Atkins" in the NBC archives search bar, there you will find another video. I believe it's "Blue Ocean Echo" using the Echosonic - it's different from what I am use to hearing. Not sure I would have found this if I wasn't wasting time on the site. There are also other videos that seem to be there but they are just previews or something. Not sure what the purpose is. Anyways, take care.
