The Legendary Jerry Reed Facebook fan page is indicating that Today is the third anniversary of Jerry's passing (rather than tomorrow, as indicated by Wikipedia and several other sources). So, I am going ahead and posting my Tribute tune to Jerry (entitled Son):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZnETaekBBo

(Written and recorded in May of 2010)

I will also post tributes to Tommy Jones, George Keener (my departed Dad), and Vickie Keener (my departed Wife) on the appropriate dates (Sep 4, 6, and 7). The tune for Vickie is a brand new that I wrote and recorded this week (not yet posted to youtube).

R.I.P. Jerry.

Thank you very much, Phil and Roger. Glad you liked it. Maybe Jerry would have liked it, too.

Bruce, I remember the announcement of Jerry's passing being posted on 8-31-08 and then seeing the "official" date
as being 9-1-08. I somehow found out a day before.....which isn't likely......lol.

Anyway, I agree with you and I appreciated your creativity once again. You had some nice syncopation, which I especially noticed in your single string bass lines after you had already set the groove with your picking pattern. Nice!
