I enjoyed those Chuck.. Thanks.. Somehow I felt Chet wasn't thrilled about playing that Gibson. I don't think he played a dreadnaught acoustic that often. Very interesting.

Chet didn't like playing a steel string acoustic much because it was hard on his fingernails. In his "Me and My Guitars" book he had some Martin models, but I think there are more video's of Chet playing his Gibson J-30 than any other steel string acoustic. He chose that guitar when he started playing on the Prairie Home Companion show. I always thought it was interesting that he chose the lower end J-30 model. Pat Bergeson owns that guitar now, I believe.
