Thanks for the info guys. That's pretty cool that Chet could have had any Gibson he wanted and he was playing an Epi for atleast these two videos.

Phil Hunt, oddly enough a few days ago I was thinking I should get a nylon acoustic and start working on some Jerry Reed stuff. You came up like a rash on youtube. Awesome playing, once I figure which acoustic to get I'll be watching your Guitar Man video much closer. Thanks for putting all this stuff up there.

Don't watch it too close, it's full of mistakes. I've recently discovered the correct way to play the whole tune, there was a few things I was missing after watchting the video of him on youtube.

I'd also loved to know whatever happen to the strat Paul played in this video..."

Paul's estate may still have it. He had a lot of guitars. More than most folks anyway...
...that's how it looks to me...The opinion expressed above is my own and does not necessarily reflect the views of this station. Your mileage may vary...

That should do it.

He had some cool guitars and I think his help in the 6120 CGP and 6122-1959 makes it obvious he was into guitars from the stand point a lot of us, dare I use a term like "guitar geeks" are?
I see he posted here and over the Gretsch Pages where I was a member 10 years ago but I got drawn away from this style and I really missed out on what may have been really cool exchanges, even if only on a digital medium like a forum. At the very least I have his words I can go through through the archives. You all we're lucky who got to correspond with him... but you knew that already.

I think Micah said he was buying back a lot of stuff Paul had.
I have a Strat that Paul built. My wife got it for me from Gayle Moseley
5 years ago for Christmas for me.

It is a great guitar. Has EMGs and a wider neck.
