What's pathetic is when someone posts for the first time on the Chetboard (at least under this name), and that post is critical and insulting to an established member of the board. And that established member is a very good picker and nice person to boot. Sorry, but Bruce gets the respect here, and you don't, chetbaker, or whoever you really are. I could think of some other names, but most would be inappropriate for use on this board.

Bill, I agree. It's better to just move on or log into a different URL than to take the time to post a negative comment.

Bruce, don't forget that you have friends here who enjoy your contributions.

Bill, Ray, and Rande: thank you for the nice comments. You know I appreciate you.

Thank you.

Let's be clear: I don't know you and you don't know me, so I really don't give a rat's ass what you think. However, your view could represent what a number of Chetboarder's think, so I will give it serious thought. I have noticed that several people who used to post positive comments on my postings have stopped doing so ... so I may be overexposing myself on the Board. Certainly not something I had intended to do. I just don't like to waste music. I've written dozens upon dozens of tunes over the years that nobody else has heard, and those tunes are mostly gone from my memory now. They were basically wasted. I am trying to make sure that I don't continue to waste tunes. (Admittedly some of the tunes were/are probably junk, but some were definitely worth sharing and not wasting.)

It's interesting that I've posted for two years with only one or two negative comments, but within the past couple of weeks, someone has gone to the effort to dislike the last six or seven of my recordings on youtube. The first couple of those recent dislikes bothered me. But, as the dislikes mounted, I figured that it was just one person who was trying to make me look bad, someone with petty jealousy that figured he could make himself look better by making others look bad. That wouldn't have been you, would it? Doesn't really matter ... I've moved beyond it, and, as I noted above, you might be representing the views of many, so I am not going to just blow your comment off. I will give this some thought.

Bruce said, "... so I may be overexposing myself on the Board". Bruce, your recordings are some of the best things that have happened on this board. You daren´t quit!

Bruce,
I too enjoy your posts very much. You've got a lot of talent and to me it's 100% in line with the spirit of the board. The board provides an avenue for us Chet fans to share. If you're a Chet fan, it goes without saying, that includes Paul Yandell and Jerry Reed. Chet, Jerry and Paul come thru in your playing and it's still you - not easy to do. You've learned a lot and put it to good use. Thanks for sharing!

There is a lot of talent on this board, professional, semi-professional, retired, hobbyist and so on. It's amazing that we can share from all over the world in the spirit of the Chetboard. I want to hear more songs from Claude, Jean, Richard, Ray, Norm, Bill, Mark, John, Craig .....and the others I forgot to mention. I know I've posted a lot of audio files - it's embarrassing as an amateur. I'm sure some others are holding back - give it a try with your friends here.

Thank you Vidar and Gary. Gary, I too would love to see other players post videos/audits. I seem to remember that there was a time when several posted videos, but that's no longer the case.

GaryL, I'll be adding posts soon also. I've haven't been very fortunate with my combination of hardware& software but I'm getting a Mac desktop within the next few months I believe. Bruce has heard my jazz inclination and I've seen and heard enough others here to feel comfortable joining in. I appreciate all of the contributions.
