My Final Tutorial : Inventing Music, Part 2

Since I'm not a particularly good teacher of music, I decided to do my final tutorial (someone voting a Dislike on my previous tutorial helped me reach this decision).

This one is almost 9 minutes long, as it includes a full tune and a discussion of another full tune, along with a lead in of me messing around with "Satan's Doll."

By the way, when I talk about today's Country Music being so "repetitive," the thought I was really trying to express is that so much of it lacks real feeling. Having grown up listening to (and watching on Black & White TV) Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, George Jones, Willie Nelson, and so on, I expected Country Music to continue to have the feeling that they put into their singing. Not so anymore -- it seems to all be about money, putting out tunes as frequently as they can to stay popular, and so on. Of course, there are lots of great artists, still, such as Vince Gill and Steve Wariner. But by and large, country music doesn't "do for me" what it used to. (Same pretty much applies to rock.)

Hi Bruce,

With your engineering background and my mathematics background, I think I can be understood in using
a double or triple negative. My comment is that "You NOT picking with anyone for over 10 years does NOT equate to you NOT being good". I'm not sure what you're expecting regarding my own expertise, but I think we'll both sufficiently impress each other and we'll both learn. I'm sure that each of us has at least one little "trick" that the other one doesn't know or use.
