Nuages with a 1956 “Finocchiaro guitar” (Italy guitar)

Nuages, by the great Django Reinhardt.

This vintage guitar (about 1955/56), is a “Finocchiaro” guitar, ancient guitar making in Catania, Sicily.
This vintage instrument belonged to the musician uncle of my friend Marco A.

The guitar is a mix of acoustic, manouche and jazz sound!!!!

Recently overhauled by the great Giuseppe Orlando, it features a magnetic pick-up also vintage from Elettrovox...!!!

Truly a beautiful and magic guitar!!!!

P.S.

In 1940, Django made two recordings of Nuages in F major, and with a clarinet melody. (Some later recordings are in G major, perhaps to suit the violin.)
