Here´s another version, Oslo, April 15, 1964. I was in the audience, sitting somewhere in the middle to the right. That ´59 Country Gentleman sounded like no other electric guitar I´d ever heard. The Jim Reeves Blue Boys were Leo Jackson, guitar, Henry Strzelecki, bass, Dean Manuel, piano, and Kenny Buttrey, drums.

That was the period when he had his selector switch at the cutaway. No one kinows for sure what he had going on there in the upper bout switches. I think he had individual mud switch for each pickup. Really not much else it could be. I had my first Gretsch wired up that way.
