I thought it would be interesting to see what vintage Chet Atkins model guitars that people own here on the Chetboard. It's an anonymous poll, so people won't know what each individual owns just an overall tally.

Thanks to everyone that have posted their guitars in my poll so far. I think it's fun to see which models are popular here on the Chetboard! You can remove or add your guitars as your collection changes.

I'm bumping these polls back up to the top. I think it's interesting info.

It's not on the poll list but I bought a 6122 in 1957. As a know-nothing kid who wanted a Chet style Gretsch, preferably the Country Gent, the salesman told me they are well over $450 and "only professional guitarists are allowed to buy those", and proceeded to sell me a black DuoJet for $270. Never got an amplifier or really learned to play it. Now a family heirloom, the pristine case is opened for special events and still has a great smell from the original leather strap. Now they tell me I 'ruined' its value by having a Bigsby in 1958 ($100). Almost 50 years later I spent $700 on a neck reset and refret. Unplayed, mostly due to the narrow neck, but is still held in high regard around here.

Tim Baxter of gretschpages is trying to form a database of gretsch guitars. Those of you who have one (or more) new or old, might want to add theirs to the database.
