I was thinking about buying this guitar

I was checking out this guitar on Ebay and I started to buy it when I noticed that the neck pickup wasn't a Super-Tron. His description says it is, but it looks like a Filter-Tron instead. You really have to keep your eyes open when you look at this stuff.

Too many things wrong with that guitar

I'm thinking Chinese knock-off. The bigsby is wrong, the tuners are wrong and the pickups look off I've never seen a name plate like that, either but I haven't seen all the gretsch models

That does look like, at the very least, a modified example but who knows? Pre Fender the specs were a bit fluid.

The description says 2002 model...but I thought the Nashville Classic started in 2003. It sure looks odd.

Good point. Trying to save a buck could be a bad move in this case.

If you were to CALL Rocky directly, I'd bet you could get a brand new one (Or the Hall Of Fame version) for around $2200 or so ?

I think I'll hold off until I can buy one that I can see in hand. I missed too many of the flaws in these photos. It's scary how close I came to buying it. :?
