Was your bridge shipped quickly and was he quick to respond to e-mails? thanks

Tim's a good guy but frantically busy with his "day job" so he may not have a quick turnaround on the email thing. An irritant but some people are like that. TV Jones gets swamped sometimes, too. I sent him an email a couple of days ago requesting permission to use a quote in The Project. I know he'll get back to me but if anyone ever needed a secretary he's it.

The other thing is that Tim's brother (who owns and operates a machine shop) is the one who actually makes the bridges and it's the same kind of thing... The bridge making is probably not as lucrative as The Customer who walks up to the front counter of the machine shop. I personally think they offer too many selections. Several different metals, drilled or not drilled, etc. so the brother probably waits until he can run off a bunch at a time.

He'll get to you. Wait two weeks and send him a reminder. What I do is forward them a copy of my first qeurey so the chain of evidence stays the same.

I think Norm has it exactly correct, and I have found Tim to be most helpful in his suggestions. I picture their operation as a labor of love, as I'm pretty sure they don't make guitar bridges as their number one livelihood - - they'd starve to death doing that! So, even though it may take a while (I think mine was about 5 weeks or so) I think they are worth the wait. Mine tunes up perfectly, the intonation is great. Since it is a "rocking bridge" you have a little "wiggle room" back there to gently move it around until you get it perfect, after first setting the base to the approximate correct position. I'm just glad we have somebody who is doing this custom work.

Isn't it the same one that fits the G6122-1959?

When you order it you tell Tim what guitar you have. He knows the radius. He treats every bridge customer as a one on onde kind of deal. They do differ so just switching a Tru-Arc because you think it should work can defeat the purpose of getting a properly radiused bridge.

Case in point...

I have a single cut made in 1961. It has a Tru-Arc.

Frieind of mine had a double cut and was curious about the Tru-Arc. I gave him a cautionary spiel and he tried mine. It was obvious to him that the radius was off but based on the sudden improvement in tone and sustain he ordered a Tru-Arc properly radiused before the day was done. Absolutely no complaint about his when it arrived.

Swapping the bridge as you suggest might be harmless but if the radius isn't correct you'll do the Tru-Arc and the guitar a disservice

btw I did receive mine (brass) and am quite pleased with the results on my Nashville Classic. Top Notch!!

John A.. you would need the Brass Tru-Arc with a string spacing of 2 1/8" (as opposed to 2" on most other Gretschs) as the HOF has a tad wider neck. (Hall Of Fame is same guitar as 6122-1959 ... just Orange Flame instead of Walnut color)

Mitch,,,,I agree! I had mine cut to 2 5/32" . . . .I like it. Tim Harman (Tru-Arc) calls it his "Moseley Special" . . . LOL
