The Chetboard

I just received notification that my HOF Gretsch Chet Atkins guitar has been shipped. Broadway Sound called today and gave me the good news. I can't wait for it to arrive. I had a NC, but had to sell it. I really enjoyed playing the NC, but didn't really care for the color. The HOF is more appealing visually. I hope I like the "butterbean" tuner buttons. I have used Grover Imperial tuners with "stairstep" buttons on all my archtop guitars for over 50 years. The HOF guitar is a very fitting tribute to the memory of Chet and exemplifies the work Paul Yandell did to authenticate a guitar similar to the one Chet played on his many albums.

As usual, Broadway Sound did a good job in helping me get this guitar. Clayton and Amanda are a pleasure to work with.

I just received the news from my dealer late this afternoon that my HOF CG is ready to ship too! I needed some good news today after all the bad news at my employer American Airlines today.

Paul, this may replace the role of your big big blonde guitar for being "your favorite". I enjoyed our time together day. I got together that same afternoon with a non-guitarist and played nearly twice as good.......lol. You have some nice equipment there! Congratulations on your new HOF guitar. I forgot, does it have the same dimensions as the 6122-1959?
